Innovation Grants Program

About the Grants Program

The CleanGen Innovation Grants is a flagship program facilitated by The Voice Inc. (TVI) to enable members of the Clean Generation Movement to lead smalls initiatives in their communities to support citizens to find their voice, act and build a sustainable future. Founded in 2018, the CleanGen Innovation Grants Program has supported over 20 projects with a footprint that now encompasses 17 provinces throughout Papua New Guinea.

Through the grants program, individuals can access grant funding of K500.00 to K5000.00 whilst groups and association are eligible for funding of K500.00 - K10,000.00 . Different amounts of grant funding come with deadlines within which all funds must be used and projects successfully completed.

The grant program supports the following thematic areas; Climate Change & Environmental Justice, Gender-Based Violence & Safety, Economic Development & Social Enterprise, Citizen Voices & Participation, Food & Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Water & Sanitation, Health & Wellbeing, Disability & Social Inclusion, Peace & Justice, Education & Literacy, Financial Inclusion and Youth Development.

Grant Projects 2022

  • Melanesian Girl Library

    The people of Taurama in the National Capital District can now benefit from their very own Community Library that was launched on Saturday the 28th of January. Funded by The Voice Inc. (TVI) through its CleanGen Innovation Grants Program, the Melanesian Girl Library is a project by CleanGen Ambassador and Political Science graduate of the University of Goroka, Joni Babona. From 2021 The Voice Inc. (TVI) has supported Joni with grant funding of K20,000.00 to complete this project.

  • Muya Health Clinic Extension

    The Muya Clinic located in the Wampar LLG of Morobe Province has had a much-needed extension through the support of The Voice Inc. (TVI) and its CleanGen Innovation Grants Program. A project led by CleanGen Ambassador and University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) graduate, Greg Castle Sa’a, the Muya Clinic extension now ensures that community members have a waiting area and outpatient to use when visiting the clinic.

  • University of Papua New Guinea Sanitary Bins

    The Voice Inc is pleased to have supported the University of Papua New Guinea SRC of 2022 with the purchase of sanitary bins that will be placed in female dorms throughout the university campus. Funded through the CleanGen Innovation Grants Program, the project aims to improve waste disposal and hygiene practices within the university.
